1. What has VDB to offer?
- CZSO Public Database (VDB) will become a gate to the world of statistical information, provided by the CZSO.
- VDB offers mainly a convenient access to statistical data of the CZSO and to methodological descriptions, which are provided to every figure. All information stored in the database can be accessed from one place via a web browser and there is no need to search in various publications or browse many web pages on the website or Intranet of the CZSO.
- Together with the data VDB contains also relevant metainformation, which identify the published figures by specifying the subject matter area, time period and territory. This way VDB will facilitate correct understanding and interpretation of the statistical data and lay a solid foundation for correct processing of statistical data. Users have direct information where the data come from expert estimations or as a result of a statistical survey, whether they are preliminary or revised, etc.
- In addition to the tables, VDB offers also graphical outputs in forms of charts and maps.
- Moreover, VDB offers also customized user selection, key information on selected territory, with the possibility to save the customized selection, export data in XLS, XML or PDF formats and other tools for even more comfortable work with data and metadata for different user groups.
