News in VDB

New animated motion charts have been released with historical data on population and houses in regions, districts and small districts from 1869.

A new version of Public database was launched with a new design and a bit different access to data. The purpose of this new version is to adhere to the design of CZSO web presentation for one thing but more importantly to make the data in VDB easily accessible.

There is a contextual Help for each web page, which will be displayed by using the Help link in the upper right corner. There are several new features in this version of VDB and a link to animated charts is one of them. More animated charts with selected statistical data will be added gradually.

At the same time we are working hard on updating the contents of the Public Database so that the tables, graphs and maps contain most recent data. The object with older data will be moved to “archives“ in their relevant sections.

The functionality of VDB is going to be improved and new services will be implemented as you can see on page Services for You.

The newest data about Population including migration, marriages and divorces are at disposal in chapter Demography.

Data on population 2008 down to the geographic level of municipalities are in Population section.

The first estimates of Regional accounts including corrections of older data are available in National accounts chapter.

Results of elections to the Senate and Regional Councils are available in series of tables, graphs and maps.
